Smart Research: Building Researcher Identity and Recognizing Journal Scams

In today's digital research landscape, the value of research is measured not only by the quality of scholarly work but also by the credibility of researchers and the trustworthiness of publication venues. Recognizing this, Sripatum University organized this activity to equip faculty members, researchers, and students with the knowledge and skills to create and manage their ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) in accordance with international standards. The program also enhanced participants' ability to evaluate the credibility of academic journals and confidently distinguish reputable publications from predatory or scam journals. This initiative reflects Sripatum University's strong commitment to fostering a robust research ecosystem by preparing researchers with essential digital competencies, research ethics, and best practices in scholarly publishing. Through these efforts, the University aims to promote the creation of high-quality research that contributes meaningful knowledge and delivers lasting benefits to society. Sripatum University firmly believes that developing outstanding researchers begins with providing accurate knowledge, upholding the highest standards of research integrity, and empowering scholars to keep pace with the evolving global academic landscape. By doing so, every research endeavor can generate genuine value for society and contribute to the nation's sustainable development.
